Locust Nashville โ Asian-American Fusion Fine Dining ๐ถ๏ธ๐ด
Had to book a month in advance just for lunch โ and it was worth the wait (even though we showed up early and had to wait outside in the heatโฆ ๐ซ ). This place is famous for a reason! The menu looks small but donโt be fooled โ we ordered almost everything and honestly? It was too much for two people. Next time, weโll be more selective! ๐ Highlights: The Fish with Spicy Sichuan Chili Oil totally surprised me! ๐๐ฅ Tender, firm fish with honeycomb and pickles โ absolutely delicious and only $40! Milk Ice with Egg ๐ง โ Creamy, sweet, and refreshing. Came for the berry soufflรฉ ice (thanks, Xiaohongshu!) but this was a happy accident. Tuna Crispy Rice & Beef Tartare โ Tasty, but not mind-blowing. Good, just not "fusion wow." Irish Coffee โ๏ธ๐พ โ My new favorite coffee! Warm, not bitter, with a hint of alcohol. Would be perfect in winter. ๐ Okay-ish: Melon & Sausage Starter โ Melon wasnโt very sweet ๐, sausage was too salty ๐ญ. Lamb Dumplings ๐ฅ โ Not my thing. Breakfast Set โ Too oily, and the tempura (with blood sausage?) was a miss for me. Toast โ First piece was great, second was too rich. The chef came over (crouching slightly โ intense eye contact avoided ๐ ) and insisted everything was amazingโฆ but honestly, some dishes just didnโt hit right. ๐ฐ Automatic 20% service charge. Worth it for the dishes we loved, but with a few misses, it felt a bit overpriced overall. ๐ฏ Note to self: Next time, sit side by side with Sam โ facing each other is overrated ๐ ๐ Locust 2305 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204 Will be back for dinner though โ and next time, ordering only our faves! ๐๐ฅข #Nashville #LocustNashville #FineDining #AsianFusion #FoodReview
