Locust Nashville – Asian-American Fusion Fine Dining 🌶️🍴

Had to book a month in advance just for lunch — and it was worth the wait (even though we showed up early and had to wait outside in the heat… 🫠). This place is famous for a reason! The menu looks small but don’t be fooled — we ordered almost everything and honestly? It was too much for two people. Next time, we’ll be more selective! 😍 Highlights: The Fish with Spicy Sichuan Chili Oil totally surprised me! 🐟🔥 Tender, firm fish with honeycomb and pickles — absolutely delicious and only $40! Milk Ice with Egg 🍧 – Creamy, sweet, and refreshing. Came for the berry soufflé ice (thanks, Xiaohongshu!) but this was a happy accident. Tuna Crispy Rice & Beef Tartare – Tasty, but not mind-blowing. Good, just not "fusion wow." Irish Coffee ☕️🍾 – My new favorite coffee! Warm, not bitter, with a hint of alcohol. Would be perfect in winter. 😐 Okay-ish: Melon & Sausage Starter – Melon wasn’t very sweet 🍈, sausage was too salty 🌭. Lamb Dumplings 🥟 – Not my thing. Breakfast Set – Too oily, and the tempura (with blood sausage?) was a miss for me. Toast – First piece was great, second was too rich. The chef came over (crouching slightly — intense eye contact avoided 😅) and insisted everything was amazing… but honestly, some dishes just didn’t hit right. 💰 Automatic 20% service charge.
