Los Angeles 📍Niku X – Got Food Poisoning Here‼️ 😷

Located on the 2nd floor of the InterContinental Hotel. The entrance is small, but inside it’s surprisingly spacious—decor is sophisticated and full of ambiance. 🏙️✨ They offer both à la carte and set menus. My friend and I tried their tasting menu for dinner. Overall, the experience fell a bit short of the hype—not as outstanding as marketed. The appetizers were quite good though—the Tuna and Wagyu Tartare were delicious! The ingredients were truly fresh! 🥩🍣 But the grilled meat section was disappointing. The staff helping with the grilling might not have mastered the heat well—some parts were burnt. 🥵 The meat quality wasn’t particularly impressive either. I felt like the paired ingredients for each type of meat didn’t complement the beef’s flavor; instead, they overshadowed it. After the meal, I went home feeling dizzy and nauseous—exactly like previous food poisoning reactions. Spent the whole night drinking water and forcing myself to vomit. 💦🤢 Since I woke up late, this was the only meal I had all day—so it had to be the culprit. Interestingly, my friend felt fine… maybe my stomach is just extra sensitive. 😅 Verdict: Okay to try once, but I won’t be returning. Rating: 🌟🌟💫 Price: 💰 $230 per person 📍 Niku X 900 Wilshire Blvd Ste 212, Los Angeles, CA 90017 Have you had a similar dining experience? How do you handle food safety concerns when trying new spots?
