Luang Prabang of delicious
😁Highly recommend with all my heart❗️❗️❗️ Please go try them! Please! Most Laotian food suits my taste. The main flavor is savory, and the spiciness depends on how much chili you add. 🥩🥩 🍒As someone who can’t live without spice, Laotian chili is so fragrant and satisfying that words can’t describe it! 1️⃣ Lao Hot Pot: There’s a grill in the middle and a hot pot around it. 🥜 Once is enough. I found one by the Mekong River, opposite DaDa Coffee Shop—the view is great, and the staff speak basic English. Laotians generally aren’t great at math, so check your change carefully. 🍤🍤 🥔There’s another one at the entrance of the night market, which is always crowded. 2️⃣ Local Laotian Dishes: Promise me you’ll try them❗️ ▪️ Bamboo Garden: This restaurant is amazing—I love it so much😭 It’s a bit of a "hole-in-the-wall" place down an alley, but it’s packed during meal times. The food is incredible 555, and the vibe is beautiful! 🥠🥠 After dark, a light outside shines into the restaurant, making it feel like dining under the sunset! So the "sun" in the photos is actually just the light. ☀️ Their Tom Yum Goong is absolutely perfect. ▪️ The hole-in-the-wall opposite Muji at the night market: I was too hungry to take photos, but it’s cheap and delicious! I ate there two days in a row! 🚘 Order the water spinach and pork fried rice—you won’t regret it!🥝🥝 3️⃣ French Cuisine at Elephant Restaurant: As someone with a Chinese stomach, I only tried one French restaurant. It’s definitely cheaper and more authentic than in China. It’s tasty, but I get sick of Western food after a few bites. The escargots are a must-try.🎂 4️⃣ Lao Rice Noodles: Grab them anywhere—they’re delicious! Make sure to add lime. Try a few bites of the clear soup first, then add chili—so refreshing!🍩🍩 🥘The difference: Photo 11 is machine-made noodles from a hotel; Photos 12-13 are hand-rolled street noodles, which are chewier and more flavorful. Hole-in-the-wall spots are better—cheaper and more authentic. The noodles at the hole-in-the-wall in Photo 12 are the best, at 15,000 Kip a bowl. The ones from the morning market in Photo 13 cost 35,000 Kip. Location of the hole-in-the-wall noodle shop: Next to Luangsay Inn.🍇🍇 5️⃣ Drinks: Drink up—they’re cheap! ▪️ Fruit juice: I had 2-3 cups a day. Try any flavor—freshly squeezed with no extra additives, for just 6-8 RMB. How can you resist? I cry seeing 20+ RMB juices back home. 🏡🏡 My go-to spot is near the entrance of the morning market in the middle of the night market—it’s 5,000 Kip cheaper, and the owner kept urging me to finish so they could refill my cup!🧢 ▪️ Coffee: Grab it anywhere. Any coffee shop has huge cups, cheap—no need to hold back!🍄🍄 🍣▪️ Lao Beer: Drink it while watching the sunset! At the night market! When it’s hot! While chatting! Just buy the big bottle! 6️⃣ Baguettes: Grab one from any street vendor. Crispy outside, soft inside, savory—so delicious😭 Someone bring me one, please.🍞🍞 7️⃣ Bread: Grab any from morning market stalls or bakeries on (Yangren Street). Rich and tasty! Pair with coffee for breakfast—it’s like my DNA is reacting.🍆 In short, order pork over chicken if you can—Laotian pork is amazing. 👉👈Their crops rely on natural weather, so everything is very natural. I hope it stays this way—affordable prices and fresh, delicious ingredients. #LuangPrabang #LuangPrabangTravel
