Luxor|2 Days & 3 Nights: A Perfect & Hassle-Free Journey

I traveled completely independently in Luxor and was initially nervous, but the experience turned out to be even better than Cairo! The city is much cleaner, and I had an amazing Airbnb stay. I tried taxis, horse carriages, and ferries without any issues—smooth and fun! 😊 📅 Itinerary Flew from Cairo to Luxor ✈️ (arrived at 8:20 PM). Pre-booked a taxi for airport pickup 🚖 → headed to accommodation to rest. Woke up early to watch hot air balloons from home 🎈🏠 Breakfast → visited Valley of the Kings 🏛️ Bought tickets for Medinet Habu (Habu Temple) 🎫 Enjoyed a leisurely lunch → explored Habu Temple 🍛 Walked to the Colossi of Memnon 🗿 and bought souvenirs from local vendors 🛍️ Returned home to a delicious homemade Egyptian dinner delivered by our Airbnb host! 🍗😋 Breakfast → took a public ferry to the East Bank ⛴️ Explored Karnak Temple 🏛️✨ Lunch at Sofra Restaurant 🍽️ Coffee at the iconic McDonald’s opposite Luxor Temple ☕🍟 Visited Luxor Temple around 5 PM (stayed until 7 PM) 💡 Took a horse carriage to a supermarket for snacks 🐎🛒 Continued by carriage to the public ferry → returned to the West Bank 🌅 🚗 Transportation Tips Use inDrive for taxis—it’s highly reliable! 📱 The app shows estimated prices, and drivers send offers with ratings and reviews. Uber doesn’t work well here. Horse carriages and ferries are also convenient and fun! 🐎⛴️ 🏠 Airbnb Experience Our Airbnb was spacious, clean, and full of character 🏡 5 balconies with 360-degree views! 🌄 Could see the Valley of the Kings and hot air balloons from the room 🎈 10-minute walk to Medinet Habu 🚶‍♀️ The host even prepared and delivered a traditional Egyptian dinner—made with chicken he raised himself! 🍗❤️ 🍽️ Food Recommendations Cafe & Restaurant Maratonga 🍛 Habou Garden 🌿 (both near Medinet Habu—affordable and tasty!) Sofra Restaurant (East Bank) 🇪🇬 Try the stuffed pigeon, lamb tanjine, Egyptian rice, and guava/lemon juice! 🥘🍹 McDonald’s opposite Luxor Temple (great views!) ☕🍟 📸 Photo Highlights Nile River views 🌊 Luxor Temple at night 🌙 McDonald’s with temple views 🏛️ Luxor Train Station 🚉 Airbnb balconies & homemade dinner 🏡🍗 #Thebes #Luxor #EgyptTravel #Guide #TravelMoments 🌍✌️
