Madrid | Church Restaurant ⛪️

A few years ago, a friend recommended this church restaurant to me ⛪️ The restaurant is divided into two dining rooms: the chapel and the greenhouse. I had made a reservation for the chapel with a friend, but we had to cancel because there was no availability. A year later, we tried again and finally got a spot in the chapel 🥂 We celebrated our long-awaited reunion with a bottle of white grape wine. 🍽 The highlights of the meal were the tuna tartare and the seafood paella, which was so rich in seafood flavor it was like a Spanish & Italian culinary fusion. 🙆 The service was top-notch; several waiters kept checking if we needed anything else, just to make sure we were taken care of. 🎂 Here’s a funny story: since almost all the other diners were celebrating birthdays, 🌟 I got a little envious of the sparkler candles. Even though my birthday was a few days away, my friends decided to celebrate early—while I was in the restroom, they “secretly” requested a birthday treat from the waiter. When the dessert with the sparkler candle was brought out, and my friends and the waiter started singing “Happy Birthday,” I was so embarrassed I thought I’d die from it. 💶 The bill can get a bit pricey if you order wine, and also, 📢 when making a reservation, you need to provide a credit card as a deposit. If you cancel within six hours of the meal, they’ll charge you 10 euros per person. 📬 Calle Bolsa, 12 Sol #RestaurantRecommendations #AtmosphericRestaurant #GlobalEatingSquad #ItalianCuisine #Spain #Madrid #MadridFood #MadridLife #MadridExploration
