Maine Portland Beer Guide 🍻
Going to Acadia was just an excuse — the real goal was drinking along the way! Had to make a stop at Allagash Brewing Company in Portland, Maine. To be fair, I tried two rounds of flights: • Farm to Face - 2.5/5 Sour ale aged on peaches 🍑 — sharp acidity, no peach flavor. Tasted like straight apple cider vinegar. • Belgian Style Tripel with Honey - 4.5/5 Smooth and complex !👑 • Tart Summer Ale - 2/5 Not fruity, with some odd off-flavors. • Kickabout Lager - 2.5/5 Just a basic lager — watery and forgettable. • White - 4/5 A classic for a reason — crisp and reliable. • Tropical Lime IPA - 4.5/5 The biggest surprise! 🍋 Lime was subtle, not artificial, and no harsh bitterness. • Maine Blueberry Ale - 2/5 No blueberry taste — disappointing. • Coolship Red - 3/5 Another apple cider vibe, but smoother than Farm to Face. Shockingly, it’s Allagash’s highest-rated beer on Untappd… puzzling. Verdict: Stick to Belgian styles — they never disappoint! 🍺 Liked the cider-like options? They’ve got plenty. Flights are $3 each — great value! But food options are slim 😴 — just one food truck with basic pretzels and sandwiches. #Maine #CraftBeerUSA #PortlandMaine #BeerLover #Allagash
