Manchester Surroundings | Hidden Gem - Tatton Park Day Trip

Tatton Park is a historic estate with a neoclassical mansion, 50 acres of landscaped gardens, a 1000-acre deer park, a rare breeds farm, and a medieval old hall. It’s conveniently located near Liverpool and Manchester. We spent about 5 hours exploring the park, which was very relaxing, but given its vast size, it was also quite tiring. However, it’s definitely a great place for a weekend getaway! 😉 Getting There: disembark at Knutsford station and navigate to Tatton Park - Knutsford Entrance to access the estate.🌿 Walking through Tatton Park, you’ll pass by two large lakes (Tatton Mere and Melchett Mere), where various waterfowl play. The tall forests, lush vegetation, and expansive green spaces make you feel like you’ve stepped into an ancient jungle and wilderness, which is truly astonishing! To our delight, the park is home to reindeer, fallow deer, and sheep. It feels like you’ve stumbled into a wildlife park. Additionally, there are many dogs walking with their owners, exuding a sense of freedom.❤️ On the north side of the estate lies a 50-acre landscaped garden (The Gardens), featuring greenhouses, various vegetables, fruit trees, lush vegetation, an Italian garden, and even a 100-year-old Japanese garden. Entry to the garden requires a ticket (adults £9).🌿 Meals: We had lunch at the restaurant within the estate, which served roasted potatoes with spicy beef sauce and vegetable salad. It was quite good! 😋 We had a wonderful day at Tatton Park and highly recommend it for a visit. 🌟 #UK #ManchesterSurroundings #LiverpoolSurroundings #OverseasLife #UKTravel #DayTrip #Park #WeekendPlans
