Manchester Surroundings | Stepping into Jane Austen's World โ›ฒ๏ธLyme Park

A great Easter day trip spot near Manchester ๐Ÿš„ From Manchester Piccadilly to Disley by train takes about half an hour, and then it's a fifteen-minute walk to Lyme Park. It's not recommended to follow the route suggested by Google Maps. Instead, walk in the opposite direction of the train for a few minutes, and you'll see a winding path going uphill. Follow the mountain road, then keep going to the right for about 15 minutes, and you'll reach the entrance of Lyme Park. No need to buy a ticket if you didn't come by car. It takes about 40 minutes to walk from the entrance to the manor, with an uphill journey and strong winds. It's highly recommended to ask the staff at the entrance to call a free shuttle bus to the manor. The same goes for the return trip. ๐ŸŽซ The ticket for the house and garden is ยฃ15 per person. ๐Ÿ‘› Once inside the house, you can change into costumes on the left. You'll need to tell the staff, and they will help you pick out suitable clothes and matching accessories. Note that the changing room closes at three, and they stop accepting people for dressing up around two-thirty, so remember to come early! ๐Ÿซ The tour route inside the house is not long; about half an hour is enough to finish the visit. You can wear your costume to stroll around the park, and you'll surely get some astonished looks from the children, haha. #WanderIntoSpring #ManchesterSurroundings #PrideAndPrejudice #DarcyManor #LymePark #Manchester #LifeInUK #Easter #ManchesterLife #Photography
