Manhattan’s Stylish Food Market: Essex Market 🍔

🟩Before heading to the ICP exhibition in Lower Manhattan’s Lower East Side, I stopped by the nearby Essex Market for a quick lunch. The original “Essex Market,” a century-old indoor market, has been relocated to a brand-new building across the street, transforming into a trendy indoor marketplace. 🟩This market is a melting pot of vendors, offering everything from meats and produce to general merchandise. It also features a variety of specialty food stalls, small cafes, and mini-bars. After purchasing your food, you can head to the communal seating area on the second floor to enjoy your meal. Unfortunately, the food court located in the basement, which was a popular spot, has been closed this time. 🟩Upon further research, I found out that Essex Market is operated by the city government, while the basement food court was run by a private company. Due to financial difficulties exacerbated by the pandemic, the private operator had to close the food court. #EssexMarket #Manhattan #LowerEastSide #NewYork #HolidayCityWalk #MarketLovers #MarketTherapy #LocalSupermarket #SupermarketShare #MarketVibes
