Manhattan | A Quiet Rooftop at Pier 57 to Relax After Work π
After dinner, I took a walk by the Hudson River. Although summer nights can sometimes be muggy, the gentle evening breeze made this walk quite comfortable. π’π Pier 57 is a new landmark by the Hudson River. It used to be a shipping dock and a bus stop, but after renovation, it reopened in recent years. π The first floor is a food hall (clean version), with bars, restaurants, and snack shops. At the end, there's a public gathering area. The rooftop park offers views of the Hudson River. You can bring snacks and a picnic blanket to enjoy the breeze in the sunset glow. π’π Unlike many bustling parks in Manhattan, Pier 57 uniquely lacks the hustle and bustle of street performers. π Instead, it's more about people interacting with each other or simply immersing themselves in the tranquility. A few minutes' walk from Pier 57 is Little Island, which looks like a high - footed glass, a forest floating on the water. π’π The Amphitheater (The Amph) hosts outdoor performances in the summer. You can check the performance schedule on the official website, and some shows are free. π People of all kinds, with different stories, elegant ladies, leisurely tourists, cuddling couples, and relaxing workers. In this busy city, being an observer is a unique pleasure in itself. #NewYorkLife #Manhattan
