🍁 Maple Viewing Elite, Tofuku-ji Temple Still Holds a Spot!

🍁 As I stood on the Tsūtenkyō Bridge looking towards the Wakumura Bridge, I couldn't help but marvel at the vibrant and layered colors that filled my view. The scenery surrounded by red maples must have been the highlight of my autumn leaf hunting journey! Many people know that in recent years, the top of the Kyoto maple viewing hot spots is not Arashiyama, not Eikando, but always Tofuku-ji Temple! And this year's maple season, Tofuku-ji Temple's performance is still strong~ 🔝 [Maple Viewing Tips] During the maple season, focus on these 3 places in Tofuku-ji Temple: 1⃣️ Wakumura Bridge The place you have to cross before entering the temple, it's free, and parallel to the Tsūtenkyō Bridge inside the temple. From here, you can enjoy the red maple scenery opposite. 2⃣️ Senjokaku Area Entering the Tsūtenkyō area requires a 1000 yen admission fee. You first pass through a courtyard where light and shadow dapple the grounds, a few maple trees grow vigorously, and some areas retain dense moss. Following the stone steps, you descend into the Senjokaku stream, and some angles looking up at the Tsūtenkyō Bridge are also very beautiful. ㊙️ Tip: On the way to the Tsūtenkyō Bridge, there is the Kaizan Hall on one side. If you are short on time, you can skip the serene temple garden. 3⃣️ Tsūtenkyō Bridge The highlight of maple viewing at Tofuku-ji Temple! The view along the bridge has a sense of depth, but to capture the kind of scene with vibrant autumn colors lining both sides as seen in promotional videos is definitely HARD MODE (i) You need early admission tickets to the scenic area in the morning, (ii) You need a wide-angle lens, (iii) It happens to be a good weather day, and (iv) You need to make sure there is no one in front of you). So, it's better to change your approach and shoot the side scenery - trust me, shooting the Wakumura Bridge and the Abbot's Garden from the bridge can also yield stunning photos. With no heads blocking the view, the adjacent layers of forests and colorful scenes are worth capturing with care. #BeautifulSceneryOnTheJourney #NoteInspiration #WhereToGoForHoliday #XiaohongshuTravelersOnlineTeamBuilding #TravelIsDatingTheWorld #2023TravelXiaohongshuList #UnforgettableScenery #ThisPlaceIsPerfectForPhotos
