Marais District Gem: Time Machine 🕰️

Paris' Marais district is not only filled with fashion and gourmet food but also serves as a significant historical and cultural area of Paris. To this day, the Marais district still preserves many buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries! Among these historical buildings are the Musée Carnavalet in the Marais district, where every exhibit tells the story of the city's transformation. 🔹 Musée Carnavalet The Carnavalet Museum is the oldest municipal museum in Paris, dedicated to collecting and displaying the history of Paris. From the Middle Ages to modern times, it gathers a vast collection of art, artifacts, and everyday objects related to Paris. The museum, founded in 1880, is the oldest in Paris and underwent extensive renovations costing a total of over 58 million euros (70.72 million US dollars) before reopening in 2021. The museum houses a wealth of art and documents about the French Revolution. You can see recreations of significant scenes from the revolution, portraits of revolutionary leaders, and precious relics left from that tumultuous era. After your visit, you can also rest at the museum's rear garden restaurant, Fabula, which has a wonderful atmosphere in the evening. BLACKPINK's Lisa has also checked in here~ Our Manteigaria is not far from the front of the Carnavalet Museum, next to the Pompidou, where we make authentic Portuguese tarts by hand every day from 8 am to 8 pm. Welcome to come and play! ⏰ Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-18:00, closed on Mondays 🎟️ Admission: Free (special exhibitions may have charges) #ParisHistoricalBuildings #ParisHistory #FrenchHistoricalCulture #MostBeautifulAncientArchitecture #EuropeanHistoryAndCivilization #EuropeanHistoricalBuildings #EuropeanRoyalty #OriginsAndDevelopmentOfEuropeanMuseums #MaraisDistrict
