Meat Lover's Paradise in Amsterdam 🍖🌟
For Mother’s Day, I went to Cannibale Royale with my daughter to indulge in some meaty delights! We chose the one in the city center for convenience, so we could continue exploring afterward. The restaurant is tucked away in a small alley and has a spacious interior, plus outdoor seating. The restroom is located downstairs, where the floor is quite slippery, and the ambiance is dark and a bit eerie—maybe it’s designed to create a spooky atmosphere? 😱 We had already studied the menu, so we went straight for the 200g Beef Tartare as an appetizer, my daughter ordered the signature Beef Burger 🍔 with fries 🍟, and I opted for the signature BBQ Pork Ribs with a Caesar Salad. The appetizer arrived quickly—a big chunk of raw beef, slightly fatty, but seasoned perfectly with a refreshing taste. It was accompanied by onions and scallions, served with small bread rolls. We devoured it in no time! 🥳 Then came the long wait... it felt like forever! We joked if they were slaughtering the pigs right there on the spot! 😂 Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the meat arrived! My ribs were massive, served with pickled red veggies. The ribs were incredibly tender—not too fatty, just right—literally falling off the bone and melting in my mouth! 😋 They were so flavorful that I didn't even need the accompanying sauce. These ribs were way better than the unlimited ribs we had last time; I could eat a whole rack and still want more! The Caesar Salad had a delicious runny yolk, but I’m not a fan of Caesar dressing; I would have preferred Italian dressing instead. 🥗 My daughter’s burger had a thick bun and was made with a patty of Angus beef mixed with pork. The patty was also thick, topped with sauerkraut and sauce—it was tasty, but not top-tier. Compared to our favorite burger from Hong Kong 🍔, it still has some catching up to do. For dessert, we had Chocolate Walnut Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream 🌿. The brownie wasn’t too sweet and had a nice chew from the walnuts—very good! But the ice cream was a bit too sweet for my taste. 🍦 Overall, the meat quality here is excellent, and I highly recommend it! The prices are on the higher side, and the service was just average. Besides one friendly and polite guy in the restaurant, the others were too busy chatting and didn’t seem to care much about the customers. We sat for a long time without anyone attending to us, so we had to get the menu ourselves. 😅 #RestaurantReview #Amsterdam #AmsterdamEats #AtmosphericRestaurant #Netherlands #Dining
