1️⃣ Batak Traditional Village On Samosir Island, we stumbled upon a Batak carpenter's workshop 🪵✨ – filled with handcrafted souvenirs! From miniature traditional houses to backwards-moving clocks ⏰ (so trippy!), and my favorite: a wooden book with mysterious inscriptions. Who knows what stories it holds? 2️⃣ Volcanic Hot Springs Heavenly! 💦 Light blue pools, perfect warmth, and a faint sulfur scent (sounds weird, but trust me – it’s therapy). 3️⃣ Waterfalls & Volcano Views Lake Toba’s active volcanic backdrop 🌋 + endless waterfalls = my ideal "stare into space for hours" spot. 4️⃣ Fruit Feast! At Ucok Durian Medan: Durian 🐉: Big one (100K, sweet) vs. small (50K, bitter-ish) – BOTH packed with 5-6 fleshy pods. Durian freedom achieved! Mangoes 🥭 (60K for 2, maybe overpriced?) & snake fruit (20K/kg!) – weird-looking, delicious! 🚗 Pro Tip: Attractions are spread out – hire a driver-guide!
