Mexico City Food and Drink Guide - La No1
🔸The name of the store is very impressive! It's located on the edge of Roma Norte and has been open since 1994. From the outside, it looks like an entire building belongs to this place, giving off the vibe of a glorious state-owned store from the 90s. Finally, I had the chance to visit. 🔹I arrived and sat down at noon, feeling like I had the place to myself (locals usually have lunch around 2 pm). The entire staff, consisting of nearly 20 uncles in uniform, served the tables, except for the lady at the grilled corn tortilla counter. There was no assigned waiter for each table, so I was served by about 4-5 uncles. Although they only spoke Spanish, they were all very attentive and passion. Each one would bring a fresh, hot batch of corn tortillas, even if I had only taken 1-2 pieces, which made me feel quite pampered. 🔹The lamb shoulder is truly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with no gamey flavor at all. I finally understood the joy of eating a whole roasted lamb in Mongolia. Besides eating the meat with your hands and picking the bones clean, the crispy parts are even more delicious when wrapped in freshly grilled corn tortillas, giving a feeling similar to Peking duck rolls. 🔸The accompanying red sauce is made from fresh tomatoes🍅, while the green sauce is a mashed pepper🌶️ sauce. Both are only mildly spicy. We quickly finished everything, and by the end, we were already 80% full. #Mexico #MexicoCity #CDMX #BabyFood #Exploration #Food #AutumnWinter #Lamb #RoastMeat
