Michilin restruant in Redwood City--Selby’s
📍Selby’s 🥩With dim lighting and a wide selection of wines, this affordable Michelin-starred American restaurant is perfect for dates. $98/person for a 3-course meal, with a fixed 20% service charge. 👉Ricotta Cavatelli 👍 A warm appetizer, the pasta has a good bite to it, served with a creamy sauce made from Pecorino al Tartufo, a sheep's milk truffle cheese, which is light and not greasy, with a subtle aftertaste of truffle and lemon. Served with roasted salsify. 👉Tuna Tartare +$5 Simply marinated Tuna paired with potato chips for a contrasting texture of crisp and tender. 👉Beef Wellington +$25 👍👍 A slightly modified version of Beef Wellington, with the beef cooked to a perfect medium-rare, it's truly tender and springy. The mushroom duxelles, after absorbing the juices from the beef, have a texture and flavor that's akin to a meat patty, with spinach puree replacing the traditional mustard. The accompanying spinach and mashed potatoes were a delightful surprise. 👉14oz American Wagyu Rib-Eye +$30 The steak was average; I prefer the T-bone at Be Steak A. 3001 El Camino Real Redwood City, CA 94061 #Selby's#Redwood City#food diary#Michilin
