Middle Eastern Delights in Rochester | A Pistachio Lover’s Dream!

I’ve been to this restaurant twice now, and my second visit was even better than the first! As a huge pistachio fan, I was drawn to their creative use of pistachios across the menu – and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend! 🍽️ Appetizers 1️⃣ Lamb Lollipops: Absolutely incredible – my top recommendation! 🍖 The lamb chops are grilled crispy outside and tender inside, with no gamey taste. Served with pistachio sauce and roasted chickpeas – the sauce has a hint of mint that adds amazing depth. 2️⃣ Crispy Prosciutto Flatbread: Comes with dried figs – pretty tasty and worth a try! 3️⃣ Foie Gras: My first time trying foie gras – it was delicious but the portion was so small I barely had time to savor it! 😂 Topped with pistachio crumbs, though – lovely touch. 4️⃣ Spanish Octopus: Pretty good, but again – portion is quite small. 🍖 Main Courses 1️⃣ Duck Confit Risotto: 🦆 Highly, highly recommend! The duck leg is confit to perfection – crispy skin, melt-in-your-mouth meat, served with multigrain risotto and what tasted like dried grapes. So flavorful! 2️⃣ Pork Chop: Huge portion! 🥩 Pretty good – topped with scallions but you can’t really taste them. Also tried Roasted Chicken and Tuna – skipping those. My friend said the chicken was a bit dry. 🥦 Side dish recommendation: Roasted Brussels Sprouts – perfectly cooked! 🍰 Dessert Can’t remember the names, but the pistachio dessert was super photogenic 📸 – taste was okay. The chocolate cake and cheesecake also seemed popular. 🍷 Wine No cocktails here – mostly red and white wines. On my first visit, the owner let us sample several wines – all were high-quality and easy to drink. Very memorable! On my second visit, the waitress recommended the sweetest white wine – Moscato d’Asti – perfect for light drinkers like me! 📌 Pro Tip: Make a reservation on weekends if you can! Also, ask NOT to be seated at the pink cushion benches along the wall – they’re uncomfortably high compared to the chairs.
