🍔 Milwaukee's No. 1 Burger & Frozen Custard – Kopp’s Review! 🍦

Kopp’s is famous for having the best cheeseburgers and frozen custard in Milwaukee — and since it was near my hotel, I had to try it! (There’s no location downtown though 😉) Let’s talk frozen custard first: It’s similar to ice cream, but contains at least 1.4% egg yolk 🥚, so avoid it if you have an egg allergy. Regular ice cream? Usually no eggs! I worked at McDonald’s — it’s basically made from powder mixed with water and frozen. Think of it like instant milk powder turned into ice cream. My grandma used to make it at home too — I’ll never forget that long metal box she pulled out of the freezer. Those were the days! ❤️🍨 I ordered the Kopp’s Special: frozen custard mixed with pecans, raspberries, bananas, chocolate, and maybe pineapple 🍍. It was sweet and creamy — honestly, I couldn’t tell much difference from regular ice cream. Now the BURGER… 🍔✨ This was incredible! The bun was soft and warm, with an amazing buttery aroma that hit me as soon as I opened the wrapper. It didn’t look fancy, but it tasted divine. I always get a double patty — a single just doesn’t feel like a real burger to me 🥲. You can customize your toppings — I skipped mayo. A lot of people who say they “don’t like burgers” are thinking of McDonald’s or Burger King. I avoid those too unless I’m desperate (like at an airport 🛩️ or craving one back in China). Those fast-food burgers are often made with genetically modified soybean oil 🧪, so it’s hard for them to be healthy. But burgers from places like Kopp’s — fresh, high-quality, made-to-order — are a totally different experience. It’s like finding a hidden gem at a local eatery in China 🏮. That said, I’d recommend having this kind of rich beef patty only once a week.
