Milwaukee | A Stunning Lake View Meets Fresh Oysters 🦞🌊

Sitting by the crystal-clear lake, enjoying a plate of fresh oysters paired with a chilled beer… Under the warm sun, the shimmering water reflects the fishbone-like architecture of the art museum. This is Harbor House—a gorgeous lakeside restaurant in Milwaukee that I’m excited to share with you today! Located right on the lake, next to the Milwaukee Art Museum, Harbor House offers street parking or affordable valet parking for just $6. Reservations are recommended during peak season (credit card required), but you can also walk in when it’s less crowded. The restaurant has two sections: main dining area and bar seating. If you’re here mainly for oysters, the bar is a great choice! The oyster window and chalkboard display all available varieties daily—categorized as East Coast, West Coast, and Chef’s Selection. 🦪 East & West Coast: $3.25 each | Half-dozen: $19 | Dozen: $38 🦪 Chef’s Selection: $4.25 each | Half-dozen: $25 | Dozen: $50 The server will arrange them in order and give you a guide so you know which is which—fun and interactive! We ordered half a dozen of each type (see labels in my photos 👀) and two beers. All oysters were cleaned thoroughly—no sand—plump, and super fresh. Personally, I preferred the East Coast ones for flavor, though West Coast oysters were larger. The chowder is also delicious—highly recommend! Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a relaxing experience. If the weather is warmer, try snagging a seat in the deeper lakeside section. We sat where we could see the fishbone-like museum against the bright blue water… Absolutely breathtaking! We’ll definitely be back!
