Milwaukee | A Stunning Lakeside Encounter with Oysters! 🦪✨
Sitting by the crystal-clear lake, ordering a plate of fresh oysters, paired with a refreshing glass of beer. ☀️ Basking in the sunlight, admiring the sparkling water reflecting the fishbone-like architecture. This is the restaurant I'm introducing today—Harbor House on the Milwaukee lakefront. The restaurant is right on the lake, next to the Milwaukee Art Museum. You can find street parking or choose the restaurant's $6 valet parking. 🚗 Reservations are recommended during peak season (requires a credit card), or you can walk in when it's less busy. The restaurant has two sections: the main dining room (table service) and the bar. If you just want their oysters, you can sit at the bar. The oyster window and chalkboard display all the varieties available that day. 🦪 They are divided into East Coast, West Coast, and Chef's Selection. East & West Coast oysters are $3.25 each, available as a half-dozen for $19 or a dozen for $38. The Chef's Selection oysters are $4.25 each, half-dozen for $25 or dozen for $50. The server will arrange them in order and give you a list so you can tell which is which! 😄 We ordered a half-dozen of each type (I've labeled them in the pictures!), plus two beers. 🍻 All the oysters were handled very cleanly, hardly any sand, plump, and very fresh. Personal feeling: East Coast were tastier than West Coast, but the West Coast ones were larger. Besides that, their chowder is also excellent, you should try it! The server's attitude was great. 👍 Well, the whole dining experience was very comfortable. If the weather were warmer, you could sit deeper inside near the lake. We chose a spot with a perfect view of the fishbone-like art museum—the lake water was so blue! ~ We will definitely go back! 💙 Menu is at the end! ~ #Milwaukee #Oyster #HarborHouse #LakeMichigan #LakesideRestaurant #FoodAndScenery #Wisconsin #PurdueUniversityArea
