Milwaukee | A Stunning Lakeside Oyster Encounter ๐ฆ๐
Sitting by the crystal-clear lake, enjoying fresh oysters paired with a refreshing beer. Under the warm sunshine, admiring the shimmering water reflecting the fish-bone-like architecture โ this is Harbor House, the lakeside restaurant in Milwaukee Iโm introducing today! Located right on the shore next to the Milwaukee Art Museum, Harbor House offers street parking or a $6 valet option. Reservations (credit card required) are recommended during peak season, but you can also walk in when itโs less busy. The restaurant has two sections: a formal dining area and a bar. If youโre just there for oysters, the bar is perfect! The oyster window and chalkboard display all the varieties available each day. Options include East Coast, West Coast, and Chefโs Selection oysters. East and West Coast oysters are $3.25 each (half dozen: $19, full dozen: $38), while the Chefโs Selection is $4.25 each (half dozen: $25, full dozen: $50). The server will arrange them in order and give you a guide so you can tell which is which โ so fun! ๐ We ordered a half dozen of each type (labeled in my photos), along with two beers. All the oysters were cleaned thoroughly โ hardly any sand โ plump, and super fresh. Personally, I preferred the East Coast ones for flavor, though the West Coast oysters were larger. We also tried their delicious chowder โ highly recommended! The service was excellent, too. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. If the weather is warmer, try snagging a spot deeper inside near the lake. We chose seats with a perfect view of the fish-bone-like art museum against the bright blue water. Weโll definitely be back! ๐๏ธ๐ Menu attached at the end~ #Milwaukee #Oyster #HarborHouse #LakeMichigan #LakesideDining #FoodWithAView #Wisconsin #PurdueUniversityArea
