Milwaukee Food Review | Mexican Parrillada at El Señorial 🥩🔥
Last weekend, we were craving something different and remembered we hadn’t had Mexican food in a while. We’ve had tacos many times, but then I recalled my boss once recommended parrillada — a Mexican-style grilled meat platter. He had it in Madison, so I searched to see if Milwaukee had something similar… and yes, we found one! 🙌 📍 Restaurant: El Señorial Mexican Restaurant 📌 Address: 1901 S 31st St, Milwaukee, WI 53215 Located in a vibrant Mexican neighborhood near the baseball stadium ⚾ and close to Cermak, the restaurant has its own parking lot 🅿️ — but it was full when we arrived during dinner rush, so we ended up street parking. 🍽️ What we ordered: Parrillada (Grilled Meat Platter for Two) – But it could easily feed three! Includes grilled meats served on a sizzling metal plate 🔥 with rice, salsa, beans, guacamole, and tortillas. The meat was tasty but mildly seasoned — needed help from the flavorful chorizo included in the mix. Pro tip: Keep flipping the meat while eating — the heat is strong and things can burn quickly! Beef Tongue Tacos 👅🌮 Also underseasoned. Not as good as the ones from El Tsunami near the airport (which also has delicious tripe tacos!). 💬 Verdict: Decent and affordable, but doesn’t beat the parrillada I tried in Madison at La Hacienda (right across from Ichiban Sichuan!). 💰 Price: Around $20 per person including tip — and we had leftovers! 🥡 Great value. 🌯 Taco lovers: If it’s tacos you’re after, head to El Tsunami by the airport instead. #Milwaukee #MexicanFood #Parrillada #FoodReview #WisconsinEats #TacoTuesday 🌮
