Milwaukee Power Walk 🚶♂️💨
Started today’s adventure by visiting the Giannis Antetokounmpo mural 🎨 – which shows only his back, seemingly to highlight his one-of-a-kind last name. Even Americans struggle to pronounce or spell it… no wonder everyone just calls him the “Greek Freak” 🏀! Honestly, I’ve never quite caught how commentators say his full name during broadcasts either. Maybe they just stick with “Giannis” and skip that legendary surname! Later, when I visited the Bucks’ team store 🦌, I asked a staff member to pronounce it for me and even recorded it 📲. Took me quite a few tries to get it right! Next stop: the Milwaukee Public Market 🧀🥖🦞. Like many indoor public markets across the U.S., it’s pretty pricey 💸, but still draws a good crowd. The area around it is also buzzing with busy restaurants! On the way back to my Airbnb, I passed by Marquette University 🎓 – a private Catholic college that blends so smoothly into the neighborhood, you can hardly tell where the campus ends and the city begins. Saw so many bright and energetic students around! ✨ #Milwaukee #Giannis #Bucks #MarquetteUniversity #TravelDiary #WisconsinWalks
