Modern Japanese Cuisine in Las Vegas: WAKUDA š£
I recently revisited WAKUDA in Las Vegas! This restaurant is led by Michelin-starred chef Tetsuya Wakuda, though the venue itself doesnāt hold a star. Itās located inside The Venetian Hotel. šØ My first visit was during a conference where a vendor treated usāand it left a strong impression! The dishes were creative, flavorful, and super memorable. (But letās be real, free food always tastes extra good, right? š) This time, the vibe was still chic and stylish, with a modern Japanese elegance. The lighting and atmosphere were thoughtfully designed, and the service remained impeccable. ⨠The menu focuses on modern Japanese cuisineāsome dishes truly shined, while others were just okay. Hereās what we tried: ⢠Kanpachi Carpaccio ⢠Crisp Rice ⢠Japanese A5 Wagyu Roll ⢠Sashimi Box ⢠Seabass Miso ⢠Duck on the Rocks Highly Recommended: š„ Seabass Miso: Layers of flavor and tender fishāabsolutely worth trying! š¦ Duck on the Rocks: Duck breast coated in shichimi pepper, served sizzling on a hot stoneācreative and fun! š Kanpachi Carpaccio: Fresh, delicate, and refreshingāa perfect starter. The Sashimi Box is a signature dish. Some fish were incredibly fresh, including varieties rarely seen in the U.S., though others were just average. A bit of a mixed bag! Overall, WAKUDA remains a high-end Japanese restaurant worth revisiting. If youāre in Vegas and craving modern Japanese or creative sushi, Iād recommend it! š° Average spend: around $200 per person.
