📍Montmartre in Paris: Such a Delight to Explore | Easy Hiking Guide

If you have half a day in Paris, I highly recommend popping over to Montmartre. This time, I hiked all the way from the city center—strolling and exploring as I went—and ended up sitting on the steps of SacrĂ©-CƓur, watching the sunset while people danced freely to street music. The vibe was absolutely perfect đŸŒ‡đŸŽ¶ đŸ—ș My Easy Hiking Route (Highlights & Recommendations) đŸ„ Starting from the city center (I set off around 6 PM) → Hiked for about 30 minutes (you can also take the metro—search for "Moulin Rouge" as your destination) ➡ Moulin Rouge Snap a photo of the iconic red windmill from the outside—that’s all you need! If you want to watch a show, you’ll need to book in advance, though. ➡ CafĂ© des Deux Moulins The filming location of AmĂ©lie ☕—so charming! ➡ Le Mur des Je t’aime (The "I Love You" Wall) A sweet little spot where "I love you" is written in over 300 languages ❀. There are singers by the entrance, adding to the lovely atmosphere. ➡ Place du Tertre 🧑‍🎹✅ Highly Recommended Tons of artists sketching on the spot—so artistic! Wander around, and the little shops nearby are cute too. ➡ La Maison Rose ✅ Highly Recommended An Instagram-worthy pink corner—perfect for portraits or wide shots đŸ“·. ➡ Buste de Dalida A monument to the legendary French singer. The streets around it are great for photos too! ➡ Le Passe-Muraille (The Wall-Walker Statue) A fun little statue—lots of people pose with it for photos! ➡ Basilique du SacrĂ©-CƓur ✅ Must-Visit! The white basilica is stunning, and entry is free. Don’t forget to go up the steps for a panoramic view of Paris! ➡ La Maison PenchĂ©e ✅ Photo Spot Right next to SacrĂ©-CƓur! With the right angle, the whole building looks like it’s sinking into the hillside—super fun 📾. ➡ Sunset on SacrĂ©-CƓur Steps ✅ Strongly Recommended Bring some snacks or a beer, sit back, listen to street performers sing, and watch the sun go down. Everyone dances along together—it’s so healing! (Check my profile for the video of everyone dancing freely—such good vibes!) ⏰ Time Reference & Tips The whole route takes about 2-3 hours, including stops for photos and little breaks for a drink. I suggest starting around 6 PM—you’ll reach SacrĂ©-CƓur just before sunset, which is perfect. No need to rush through spots or force yourself to check everything off—wander at your own pace and soak in Paris’ laid-back vibe. 🎒 Tips: My route doesn’t involve much uphill walking, but still wear comfortable shoes. Use the restroom beforehand—they’re hard to find near SacrĂ©-CƓur. Lots of people bring snacks and drinks to the SacrĂ©-CƓur steps—it’s so nice to sit and enjoy the street performances. For the return trip, go down the steps from SacrĂ©-CƓur and head to the metro station. #travel #ParisTravel #Montmartre #ParisTravelGuide #MontmartreParis
