Montréal Plaza, ranked #13 in Canada, is quite quirky! The two chefs here are full of eccentric ideas, mixing traditional French cuisine with Japanese elements in bold, unexpected ways. The results can be either spectacularly amazing or utterly dark 😂. The decor follows suit, combining elegance with a playful twist. ⁉️ Duck + Caviar: Duck tartare with caviar, served with dorayaki? This daring combo is beyond my taste buds’ comprehension—hard to judge! ✅ Asparagus Foam: The first bite is stunning—light and airy like a cloud, with a sweet and savory flavor. However, the asparagus mousse loses its crispiness and becomes a bit heavy. ❌ Chinatown Razor Clam: Chilled razor clams, with seasoning that’s not very harmonious. Just adding peanuts and cilantro doesn’t make it truly Chinese 😠. You’d get a much better version in Chinatown! ❤️ Vol-au-Vent + Scallops: After several 💣 bombshells, this flaky pastry with scallop soup is especially delicious. The addition of poached egg whites makes it interesting—scallops and egg whites are almost indistinguishable! ✅ Bourgots Miso: A staple since opening, this baked sea snail with miso and radish is quite intriguing! ❤️ Blood Pudding: After an hour of waiting, it finally arrived. This blood pudding is exceptionally delicate, with a pudding-like texture, paired with a runny egg, crispy skin, and wild greens—both flavor and texture are explosive!
