Montreal Gem with Top Scores|Daily Menu Surprises❓
I've been a fan of this place for a long time. From the photos on Instagram, it always seems to have unexpected but delicious ingredient pairings. The menu changes frequently and is quite varied; similar dishes may have slight tweaks, and there are often off-menu items worth trying👌 I went alone and chose the Caviar Potato Knishes and the main dish of Beef Brisket with Beef Tongue. The caviar potato knish was quite small, but the interior was filled with smooth, creamy mashed potatoes. The seasoning wasn't complex but worked well with the generous amount of caviar on top. At first, I thought it was a bit mild compared to the richer flavors of the other dishes, but it turned out to be the most memorable bite when I got home. The beef brisket and tongue were cooked very tenderly, with the tongue almost melting in my mouth. The brisket was full of rich, fatty flavors. There are many more intriguing dishes on their menu that I look forward to trying in the future. The Flan dessert was actually the reason I was initially drawn to this place. The flavor pairings change, and on the day I went, it was apple caramel cream. The flan had a firm texture but was very smooth once you started eating it. The apple slices and cream were not overly sweet, which I loved, though the caramel had quite a strong bitter note. I'm not very knowledgeable about their wine list, so I won’t comment much on that👌 The restaurant isn’t large, but the atmosphere is great. You can sit next to the open kitchen and watch the chef in action. It seems like there are many regulars from the neighborhood. #MyFoodDiary #Montreal #HiddenGemRestaurants #AtmosphereDining #MontrealEats #MontrealRestaurantExploration #Canada #WeekendRestaurantVisit #WhatToEat ### Restaurant Name: Restaurant Beba Address: 3900 Rue Éthel, Verdun, QC H4G 1S4 Type: Restaurant ###
