Montreal | My Boyfriend's Hidden Gem Restaurant Was Amazing!
Today, we dined at this fantastic restaurant with incredible value for money, making me question if Toronto's prices are too high! With a 4.6 rating on Google, the restaurant has a cozy setup that's perfect for a date, creating a great atmosphere. 🧡✨ This place doesn’t offer a tasting menu, but the bread served at the start came with butter and homemade pickles! I usually don’t care much for pickles, but these were surprisingly refreshing and not too sour. We ordered a soup, two appetizers, and two main courses. We were so full by the end that we couldn’t fit in any dessert, but the server surprised us with a cotton candy when we got the bill. 😊🍭 ▫️ Root Vegetables Soup: Served in a jug, enough for at least two people. We ended up with three large bowls! It’s a creamy vegetable soup with a slight tang from wine. ▫️ Foie Gras + Brioche: This foie gras came with brioche, cranberry sauce, and roasted pumpkin. The foie gras retained its rich flavor without being overly salty. ▫️ Salmon Tartare: It gave me a poke bowl vibe! The crispy chips had a hard crunch, and the salmon was seasoned perfectly. There’s mayo in it, but it’s not greasy. Highly recommended! ▫️ Walleye: My first time trying this fish, which is a type of perch. The chef’s sauce and sides paired beautifully, with subtle creaminess, a hint of sweet pumpkin sauce, and delicious veggie bits with a touch of tangy onions. ▫️ Braised Beef Shoulder: The beef was tender and incredibly flavorful, a fantastic choice for a beef main course. The salty, savory taste was spot on. 👌 #HiddenGemRestaurant #DateNightSpot #SecretRestaurant #CanadianLiving #Montreal #MontrealEats #MontrealRestaurantReview #FoodieAdventures #DailyEats ### Name: La Fabrique Address: 3619 Saint Denis St, Montreal, Quebec Type: Restaurant ###
