Montreal’s Hidden Gem That’s Worth a Repeat Visit
I have to say, my restaurant-picking skills are on point! I stumbled upon this gem the day before and knew I had to try it immediately. The next day, I was there, and it did not disappoint! The ambiance is stunning, perfect for a date or a cozy gathering. The service is impeccable—thoughtful but not overbearing. The restaurant specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, with a focus on seafood and grilled steaks. The wine list 🍷 is impressive, offering a great selection. For two people, we ordered five dishes, two desserts, two cocktails, and a bottle of wine, which came to around $200+ 🔪. If you don’t drink much, the food prices are quite reasonable, and the overall value for the environment and service is pretty high 🤔. Here’s what we tried: 🫓 Ekmek Bread - A must-try! It comes with various dips; we chose hummus. Just look at that glossy crust and the airy interior—definitely delicious! Crispy on the outside and soft and moist inside, with a tempting roasted aroma. 🦑 Seared Calamari - Perfectly tender and juicy, served with a parsley-green onion sauce, yogurt, and a tangy tomato-lemon seasoning. The overall flavor is a delightful balance of sour and spicy, making it super appetizing! 🐚 Grilled Scallops - So delicate and tender, cooked with brown butter. Although it looks like it has little sauce, the creamy flavor is intense and satisfying. 🥔 Gnocchi - Gnocchi is always a winner for me, and this was no exception. The pesto’s freshness balanced perfectly with the richness of the cheese and a hint of tanginess. It’s satisfying without being too heavy. 🐟 Sea Bream - The texture was unexpectedly great! The fish skin was lightly crispy and the flesh tender without being dry. The zucchini underneath was fresh and sweet, though the sauce, which had a strong mustard-like flavor, wasn’t quite to my taste. Desserts - I didn’t catch the exact names, but one was a nut and caramelized apple parfait with cinnamon cream—perfect for fall and winter. The other was a warm cake paired with pistachio ice cream. The cake was thick yet soft and surprisingly delightful! 🥃🍹 Cocktails - Both were excellent! The peach cocktail was refreshingly fruity, while the pistachio sour was a standout with its unique flavor. Overall, the experience was fantastic, with consistently high-quality dishes! I’m already planning my next visit! 😄 #FoodDiary #HiddenGem #Montreal #MontrealDining #MontrealEats #MontrealLife #Canada #RestaurantReview #WeekendDining #WhatToEat ### Name: Ayla Address: 386 Ave Richmond, Montreal, Quebec H3J 1T9 Type: Restaurant ###
