Moscow Weekend Must-Visit | 🗿 ГЭС - 2

Admission to the ГЭС - 2 museum is completely free! 🎉 There’s a QR code at the entrance that you can scan to register and select your entry time. (We were lucky today; we chose the 16:00-17:00 slot but actually got in at 15:30. No one checked, but security screening is required. To be safe, it’s best to book in advance on the official website.) 📱 Overall, ГЭС - 2 is a great place for taking photos with plenty of natural light. 📸 The cloakroom is automated, so staff don’t spend much time searching for visitors’ clothes. When we visited, there was only one stationery shop and two bookstores inside the museum. 📚 The stationery is perfect for those with a unique taste, though it’s a bit pricey. The books in the bookstore are quite niche, with some titles you might only find at book fairs. However, I think the quality of some books is average, with color inaccuracies in some prints. 📖 I heard that the museum hosts irregularly performances in the evening. You can check the official website for updates and buy tickets 🎫 in advance to enjoy the shows. On the first floor, there’s a small children’s playground where you can temporarily “drop off” your kids while you visit the craft area next door. 🧸 The craft area has several sections: pottery, fabric crafts, DIY jewelry, watercolor painting, and woodworking. It’s perfect for those who love hands-on activities. The photo shows the keychains my friend and I made ourselves. If you run into any issues, the staff are always ready to help. 🛠️ 🪡 We made two keychains + two little 🌟 + one bracelet. No one rushed us, and the staff were very patient, even though I’m not very skilled with my hands. Since it’s free, my friend and I thought we’d just make some small items, but a Russian girl next to us actually made a pillow to take home... and another visitor even used a sewing machine to alter his shorts! 🩳 If you’re not into crafts, you might leave the museum fairly quickly, as there’s not much else to explore. Feel free to add more suggestions anytime! 🙇🏻‍♀️ #MoscowEatsDrinksAndFun #MoscowMuseum #OffTheBeatenPathMoscow #ГЭС #WhereToGoInMoscowWeekend
