Must-Eat in Waterloo! π©πͺ German Pork Knuckle + Draft Beer πΊ β Unbea
How can you visit the German town of St. Jacobs without trying sauerkraut pork knuckle? We didnβt go to the hyped-up spot. I remember going there five or six years ago β the knuckle and sauerkraut were decent, but the service was just so-so. After reading on that itβs been acquired, we switched to another local German restaurant with great reviews: Concordia Club. And we were thoroughly satisfied! π π₯© German Pork Hocks Classic German flavor! The pork knuckle has a crispy skin and tender, juicy meat inside. Paired with sauerkraut, it cuts through the richness with a hint of tanginess. The portion is huge β Iβd recommend sharing one between two people, itβs more than enough! π Bratwurst Sausages The sausages are packed with meat, served with spicy-sour roasted potatoes π₯. Definitely worth a try. π» Beer Flights You can pick any four from the beer menu to make a 4Γ5oz set. Highly recommend the draft beer here for beer lovers β there are all sorts of flavors, with a rich maltiness that pairs perfectly with the pork knuckle and sausages! π₯ Pre-meal bread The little German bread served before the meal is chewy and delicious. The per-person cost is very friendly β the two of us spent just π°55. The portions are massive, and the prices feel like a throwback to ten years ago β the value is amazing! π The waitresses were all super friendly, patiently explaining the dishes. The overall dining atmosphere was relaxed, like being in a simple little town in Germany π©πͺ. If youβre in St. Jacobs, definitely give this place a try! #100RestaurantExplorationPlan #DiscoverHiddenGems #FoodieAdventure #TorontoFoodAndFun #TorontoSurroundings #WaterlooFood #GermanPorkKnuckle #MississaugaLife #TorontoFoodTour #TorontoWeekend
