🍣 Must-Try Hidden Gem Sushi Spot in Santa Barbara

Name: Sun Sushi Address: 3631 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93105 I’ve been eating here a lot recently — and wow, I wish I’d discovered this place sooner! 😭 The ingredients are super fresh 🐟, you can watch the chef slice sashimi right at the bar, the prices are great, and the portions are generous. Definitely one of the best sushi spots in Santa Barbara! Here are my can’t-go-wrong recommendations ✅: Salmon-6-Steps – $21.95 A dream for salmon lovers! Thick slices of salmon wrapped around rice with a light yuzu scent. A bit heavy on the wasabi, but still amazing 🍋👌. Sun Roll – $15.95 This roll is UNREAL! 🥑🐟 Loaded with tuna, salmon, mackerel, avocado, and cream cheese, then lightly fried for a crispy outer layer. Incredible mix of flavors and textures — a must-try! Unagi Donburi – $19.95 Classic eel rice bowl — the sauce is perfectly balanced. Not many veggies, but it comes with miso soup 🍱❤️. Chicken Donburi – $12.95 Delicious teriyaki-style chicken bowl. No skin, just tender meat with lots of flavor and a side of miso soup 🍗🍚. Tempura Udon – $15.95 The broth is light and sweet, the udon noodles are soft, and the tempura is crispy. So comforting! 🍤🍜 Sushi (2 pcs per order) You really can’t go wrong with any of their nigiri or specialty sushi! ⚠️ Small letdown: The Uni Shooter (specials board) – we thought it was plain sea urchin, but it came in a salty soy sauce and red wine mix. Not worth $20. 🚫 Skip it and stick to the sushi! 💵 Price per person: $30–50 🅿️ Parking is limited — come early if you can!
