Must-Visit Museums for Design Enthusiasts in New York(1)
๐ธ Must-Visit Museums for Design Enthusiasts in New York | Cooper Hewitt ๐ ๐๐บIt's been a while since my last update ww ๐ As a design student, I've always wanted to visit the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. Today, I happened to be taking a class at the neighboring library, so I decided to drop by the museum. ๐๐บFrom 5 to 6 p.m., it's pay what you wish, which is super convenient! ๐ Cooper Hewitt is the only museum in the United States dedicated solely to historical and contemporary design. It also has an incredibly rich collection of design itemsโover 215,000 pieces that span 30 centuries! ๐๐บFrom ancient textiles and works on paper to iconic modern design objects and cutting-edge technology, the museum's collection not only provides inspiration for all kinds of creative work but also highlights the crucial role design plays in improving our world. ๐ธ๐ฟ Right now, there are exhibitions on the 1st and 3rd floors... The 1st floor features an exhibition on the language of symbols. ๐๐บDue to time constraints, I only visited the solo exhibition on the 3rd floor today, which was incredibly interesting! If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit. You can see the whole exhibition in just over an hour. ๐ก #NewYork ๐
