Must-Visits & Must-Eats in Santa Fe + Bisti Wilderness! 🏜️

I’ve been based in Santa Fe these past few days and explored Bisti Wilderness, Bandelier National Monument, and the city itself—plus tried some amazing local and Chinese food! 🌵 Bisti / De-Na-Zin Wilderness Area Absolutely worth the trip!! You’ll hardly run into another soul—just pure, otherworldly nature. 🪐 Bring plenty of food & water 🥪💧, download offline Google Maps, and use the AllTrails app! Only one restroom around 🚻—finish hiking before sunset. It gets DARK out there! Wear sturdy shoes and sun protection 👟🧴. Allow 3+ hours for the hike. Road from ABQ is fine, but avoid Route 7xx after rain—muddy, unmarked, and no service! 🚗💨 Very remote—plan accordingly! 🏞️ Bandelier National Monument Ancient Pueblo cliff dwellings carved into the mountains—like a natural apartment complex! Climb ladders into small caves—super fun 🪜 Less than 1 hour from Santa Fe through beautiful winding mountain roads 🏔️ 🏙️ Santa Fe Downtown Full of cute shops and unique chapels ⛪️—easy to explore in one day. 🍽️ Food Recommendations 🦪 Zacatlan – A delicious surprise! Amazing oysters + incredible bone marrow 😋 Don’t miss the chocolate cake for dessert! 🍫 🧀 La Boca – Highly recommended! Tabla de Quesos (cheese board), Paella Classica, Mejillones (mussels), Flat Iron Steak 🥢 Dumpling Tea – Chinese comfort food! Dan Dan Noodles are a MUST-TRY ❗️ Freshly made dumplings by an auntie right in the dining area—so authentic! 🥟 🌮 Santarepa – Latin American flavors Try their American-style “roujiamo” (meat sandwich) and other hearty bites #TravelUSA #Santa Fe #TravelGuide #NewMexico #WildernessHiking #FoodieFinds #OOTD 🧢
