Lake Wendouree & Botanic Gardens 🌿🦢 A must-visit for families! The Lake Wendouree Adventure Playground is fantastic for kids, and the nearby Botanic Gardens are absolutely stunning. 🌷 Don’t miss the famous glasshouse (a total Instagram hotspot 📸) and Prime Ministers Avenue, where you can see statues of Australia’s past leaders. The lake itself is teeming with black swans—so serene and picturesque! Sovereign Hill ⛏️💛 The legendary gold rush town! Even if you’re not a history buff, the immersive experience is unforgettable. Pan for gold, explore underground mines, and meet costumed characters who bring the 1850s to life. 🎩✨ Wildlife Park 🦘 A bit underwhelming this time (I skipped it), but if you go, beware—the kangaroos seem more interested in eating the feed bags than the actual food! 😂 Art Gallery of Ballarat 🎨 As the oldest and largest regional gallery in Australia, it’s well worth a visit. Even if (like me) you’re not an art expert, the architecture and exhibits make for great photos! 📷 Final Thoughts: Ballarat is packed with charm, history, and fun—perfect for a weekend getaway!
