My Day in Nairobi! โœˆ๏ธ

๐Ÿ“ National Museum of Kenya ๐Ÿ”น Entry fee: 1200 KES โ€“ If paying in cash, first register your passport at reception to generate an order, take a photo, then head to the crafts shop across the way to pay via M-Pesa.โœจ ๐Ÿ”ธ English guide: 500 KES โ€“ No fixed price, considered a tip. We gave 1000 KES for two people. The guide spoke great English and gave a fantastic tour! Highly recommend for insights on human origins, Kenyan wildlife, and national history.๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿ“ Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) โ€“ UN Africa HQ ๐Ÿ”น Entry fee: 500 KES โ€“ Home to UNEP and UN-Habitat. Payment via card or M-Pesa only (no cash). ๐Ÿ”ธ You can go up to the 27th floor for a panoramic city view! Also staged a "Meeting at the UN" photo in one of the conference rooms ๐Ÿ˜†. The guard at the entrance was funโ€”no photos of him, but he allowed selfies! ๐Ÿ“ท ๐Ÿ“ Maasai Market ๐Ÿ”น The location changes dailyโ€”today it was right next to KICC! Stalls everywhere, super friendly vendors, but haggling is a must. ๐Ÿ”ธ 2 round bowls: Started at 8500 KES, bargained down to 300 KES! 3 fridge magnets: Started at 1500 KES, got them for 750 KES. Prices depend on your negotiation skills, but itโ€™s a great place for affordable, unique souvenirs!๐ŸŽˆ ๐Ÿ“ Village Market ๐Ÿ”น A huge, upscale mall with pricier but more refined handicrafts. Lots of dining options too. ๐Ÿ”ธ Carrefour supermarket (1st floor) is a gem! They have rhino, lion, and elephant tote bagsโ€”small for 26 KES, large for 39 KES. Also, fresh juice for 225 KES/bottle, and they give change in coins (rare in Kenya!). The coins make cool souvenirs: 20 KES (๐Ÿ˜), 10 KES (๐Ÿฆ), 5 KES (๐Ÿฆ), 1 KES (๐Ÿฆ’). ๐Ÿ“ Lunch ๐Ÿ”น Kilimanjaro coffee & mango shake = heavenly! ๐Ÿ”ธ Avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘ & mango ๐Ÿฅญโ€”so fresh, so delicious! ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿš— Transport: Used Uber all dayโ€”affordable, and the drivers were super friendly! #NoEarlyMorningsTravelDiary #Nairobi #Kenya #KenyaTravel #TwoMorePagesReadInTheBookOfTheWorld ๐ŸŒโœจ
