My Favorite Ramen Shop in New York Just Vanished... 💔
🍔It felt like an April Fool’s joke. I walked into my beloved ramen shop again, but everything had changed. The charming female owner was gone, the broth tasted different, and the octopus balls’ crispy exterior was no more! KOHOKU-KU RAMEN 709 9th Ave, New York, NY 10019 🍃 This ramen shop, nestled in Hell’s Kitchen, was known for its unique flavors: duck leg ramen and fish meat ramen. It had always been in my top 3 favorite ramen shops in New York. Unlike common ramen flavors, its light broth carried a hint of fish fat aroma, which I adored. 🌊 It had been about half a year since my last visit. When I stepped in today, everything seemed familiar yet strange. The decor and menu looked similar, but there were subtle changes, and the familiar faces of the staff were gone. I thought it was just a normal update. 🌸 The first sign of trouble came with the octopus balls. I always loved their crispy, freshly baked texture, but that was gone. When the fish meat ramen arrived, my suspicions were confirmed. The broth was good—fresh and light—but it felt disconnected from the fish. It was like they were strangers, just placed together in the bowl. Unlike before, when the broth and fish had a chemistry like a married couple of ten years. 🎢 Unknowingly, the flavors I once loved were gone... It’s a bit heartbreaking to see things change so much.💔 🕵️♀️ #NYCExploration #food #ramen 🍜
