My New Favorite Restaurant in Nashville! 🌟
This has quickly become my absolute favorite restaurant in Nashville. It offers a stunning take on modern Middle Eastern/Lebanese cuisine that is both innovative and deeply satisfying. The space itself is open, airy, and beautifully colorful. It feels clean and spacious, yet never cold or overly minimalist—it strikes the perfect balance. A wonderful feature is the open view into the kitchen and the wood-fired oven from many seats in the dining room, adding a dynamic and warm atmosphere. 👨🍳🔥 We visited on a Monday night and were seated immediately without a wait. Securing a reservation was easy, though we didn't need one that evening. They do have a small parking lot on-site, and we managed to snag a spot, but I can imagine it gets quite crowded and challenging during busy weekend nights. The food is designed for sharing, offering a mezze-style, small-plates experience. You order several dishes, and they arrive at your table as they're ready, creating a delightful, flowing meal. The portions aren't huge—they're meant for sharing—though there are a few more substantial main courses available. Their hummus selection is fantastic. We tried the hummus with wood-fired jalapeños. It was richly flavored and had a fantastic, spicy kick. It was served with hot, fresh, pillowy pita bread that was absolutely perfect. 🫓 We also had the fatayer, a savory pastry filled with Swiss chard, sumac, red onion, and feta. It was incredibly flavorful and rich, and it might have been my favorite bite of the night—though it was hard to choose! The wood-fired cauliflower, served with tahini, pickled barberries, and pita crumbs, was another standout. It was perfectly charred, a complex mix of flavors, and its texture was ideal—firm with a bit of crispness, and not at all soggy. For my main, I ordered the market steak. I asked for medium-rare, but it arrived quite rare, almost blue. For this particular preparation, it was actually more appropriate, and I appreciated that it was served as the chef intended. It was accompanied by fig-glazed fingerling potatoes, tahini, and a green oil. I've never had a steak quite like it—rich, unique, and wonderfully complex. 🥩 The cocktails here might be some of my favorites in recent memory. I had the Shisho Fine, made with rose vodka, blood orange, bisho mint grapefruit, and lemon. I also tried the Dilly Joel, featuring Miller's gin, sfumato, strawberry-rhubarb, and lime. Both were absolutely phenomenal. I genuinely can't wait to go back and try more from their cocktail list, which features intriguing ingredients like anise, apricot, basil, pineapple, green chartreuse, and mezcal. 🍸 We ended our meal with a delightful orange cake that was moist, silky, and downright dreamy. 🍊 I am already counting down the days until I can return and bring all my friends and visitors! This place is a true gem. #NashvilleEats #ModernMiddleEastern #LebaneseCuisine #WoodFireCooking #CocktailLovers #FoodieHeaven #Hummus #SharePlates #MustTryNashville #DateNightSpot
