My Three Favorite Museums in Paris
After three years, I’m back in Paris again after graduation. I can’t help but feel regretful for all the museums and art exhibitions that were closed during the pandemic. Now, with Christmas around the corner, there’s a Christmas market in the Tuileries as well. Maybe what I miss is not Paris, but my 24 years old self. 💠 Musée de l’Orangerie The long painting of water lilies is breathtaking. You can get the feeling of being inside the painting and see the details of the artwork up close. Just this one piece can keep you immersed for a long time. 💠 Sainte-Chapelle Located on the same island as Notre-Dame, you need to book in advance on the official website. Note that the 20 euro ticket on the website is a combination ticket for both sites, not for two people… If two people are visiting, just buy two single tickets. Inside Sainte-Chapelle, the first floor is mainly for souvenirs. You need to climb the stairs next to the door to go to the second floor to see the incredibly magnificent stained glass windows… They are so stunning that they leave you speechless. It’s definitely worth a visit. 💠 Louvre Museum On my fourth visit to the Louvre, I noticed many details I hadn’t seen before. My favorite painting is “L’Aurore et Céphale” (not sure if it will pass censorship… but it’s truly beautiful). If you have the time, I suggest allocating five hours for the Louvre. We spent three hours and felt like we had only seen half of it. #FrenchRomance #LivingAboveArt #FromMonetToVanGoghToPicasso #OilPaintingStyle #ParisTravel
