My Travel Journal in Phnom Penh, Cambodia ✈️ Day 2 & 3

DAY 2 Brunch 🍜: Woke up around 10 AM and wandered toward Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21). Stopped at a random café with a sign saying "Korean noodles," but the menu was all Southeast Asian food—no idea what it was called! S21 Museum 🏛️: $5 entry + $5 audio guide (a must!). Spent almost 4-5 hours here—it’s the most impactful museum in Phnom Penh. Three survivors were selling their memoirs ($10 each). The history of the Khmer Rouge is heartbreaking. On the 3rd floor of Building B, there’s a guestbook where visitors from around the world share their thoughts—fascinating to read. Killing Fields of Choeung Ek ⚰️: We skipped it (too far, ~12 km away), but if you have time, it’s worth visiting. Afternoon Snack 🍲: Craving pho, we took a tuk-tuk to Pho & Bun Bo Hue, but got the wrong location. Ended up at another Vietnamese spot nearby—delicious and air-conditioned! Chip Mong Mall 🛍️: Wanted to see a local mall, so we took a 30-min taxi ride. Felt like a mid-tier Chinese mall. Ate crab & prawns (under $40!) at a red-themed seafood restaurant on the top floor—great deal! Also spotted a BYD showroom (lol). DAY 3 Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center 🦁🐯: Woke up at 9 AM, took a tuk-tuk (~10:30 AM arrival). Animal shows & interactions—controversial but fun. Highlights: Holding baby tigers, taking pics with orangutans (might kiss you!) and feeding animals. Disliked: Tigers & goats jumping through fire rings 😠. Otherwise, animals seemed well cared for. Afternoon Tea at LUNA (BKK1 District) ☕: Took a taxi to this cute café, then walked to Bodia Spa. Bodia Spa 💆‍♀️: No pre-booking? Got lucky with a 7 PM slot. Chose the 77 USD, 150-min package (most inclusive one). Pro tip: Register as a member a day before for discounts (we forgot 😅). Their products make great souvenirs! Late-Night Sushi 🍣: Found a Japanese place near Marco Polo Hotel (decorated with cherry blossoms, a "samurai" outside). Spent ~60 USD—almost ran out of cash for the airport tuk-tuk! #TravelAbroad #TravelGuide #Cambodia #PhnomPenh 🇰🇭✨
