Nami Nori West Village(1) π£
At noon, you can walk in and sit at the bar, where they place a small rack in front of you. ππ The hand rolls are placed on the rack as they're made, but the speed is a bit slowβit's like they can't keep up with how fast you eat! If you sit at a table, they'll bring you a batch at a time. The minimum order for hand rolls is five; you can either choose a set or pick your own five. When you order, the waiter will ask if you want wasabi in your hand rolls. The restaurant is pretty cramped, and the service is just okay. Signature Set ππ Tuna Poke: Chopped tuna mixed with onion, topped with crispy shallots. It's delicious, but the flavor is pretty standard. X.O. Scallop: The scallops are super fresh and sweet. Yum! Coconut Shrimp: Fried shrimp paste coated with breadcrumbs, coconut, and tiny shrimp. ππ The menu mentions green curry elements, but I couldn't really taste them. Salmon Serrano: Diced marinated salmon with pickled ginger and jalapeΓ±o in the center. The flavors are a bit strong when you bite into it. Cucumber Black Sesame: Cucumber topped with black sesame paste. ππ The flavor is quite heavy and a bit salty. I felt the sesame paste was a bit too thick. #NewYork #NYCDining ππ
