The only regret? Not being able to do wine tasting because it was fully booked (peak season problems 😅). Pro tip: Book your tasting in advance! 📍 Stop 2⃣️: Napier City Centre – The Art Deco Trust + Vintage Architecture 🚗💨 Sadly, the classic car show was years ago, but you can still book a retro convertible tour around the city! An old-school driver (a sweet grandpa 👴) takes you on a scenic ride. Of course, my free-spirited self forgot to book in advance… again. 😂 📍 Stop 3⃣️: Bluff Hill Domain 🌊⛰️ The drive up is a bit steep, but the view is SO worth it! Overlooking Napier’s bustling port with endless rows of containers and the vast ocean meeting the sky—it’s pure therapy for the soul. 💙 📍 Stop 4⃣️: Napier Prison ⛓️👻 Honestly, I was just curious about what a prison looks like. 🧐 The self-guided audio tour (included in the $20 ticket) was… intense. I chose the ghost story option (there’s also a historical one), and let’s just say—never commit a crime. 😳 You can even add an escape room experience (extra $$), but the vibes were already suffocating enough. ✨ My Travel Philosophy: I don’t like overpacking my itinerary—just picking a few must-see spots and strolling at my own pace.
