Naples' Century-Old Pizza Joint is a No-Wait Michelin Star 🍕✨
This historic pizzeria in Naples has been serving up pizza since 1870🍕 and has been passed down through five generations👨🏻🍳. It's undoubtedly the star of the entire street! 🎥 In the movie Eat Pray Love, Julia Roberts visits for pizza⚽, and the restaurant still preserves the exclusive table number 10 that belonged to Maradona during his time in Naples⭐. In 2024, it once again won a Michelin star... With so many labels, one must try it to see if there are any surprises💣. 🙋🏻♀️Queue-Skipping Adventure At this three-way intersection, there are two stores with the same name. At 10 o'clock, when I passed by the street, only two people were waiting at the door. Out of pure curiosity, I asked and found out that the store on the left specializes in takeout (opens at 11:00), and the store on the right is for dine-in (opens at 10:30)⏱️. Looking at my watch, it was just a few minutes until the dine-in store opened... At ten-thirty, surprisingly, the takeout store opened first, and the staff said that today we could dine-in there😂. The dine-in store on the right would open later, so we just filed into the old store on the left. Inside, there are actually only three types of pizza (the fourth is a combination)💰 priced at 6 euros per portion, payable by cash and credit card💳 with tips at your discretion. MARGHERITA The signature traditional Italian Margherita pizza, mainly made of tomatoes🍅, cheese, basil, and olive oil. MARINARA The classic Neapolitan Marinara pizza, mainly made of tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil🧄. The garlic is the finishing touch and is one of the food formulas that European vampires would most want to destroy. COSACCA Main ingredients are tomatoes, Pecorino cheese, basil, and olive oil. MARITA (Combination) A combination of numbers 1 and 2, gathering two flavors. MARGHERITA is undoubtedly the must-order top choice, and to prove that I'm not a vampire, MARINARA must also be ordered🧛🏻♂️. Fortunately, both the Margherita and Marinara did not disappoint, with rich tomatoes, unexpected garlic aroma, and just the right amount of char from the oven... I don't know if it's the best pizza in the world, but it's definitely worth a visit to indulge in. #Foodie #NaplesPizza #NaplesFood #Italy #Naples #ItalianCuisine #ItalianPizza #Michelin #LocalFoodRecommendation
