π While visiting Chicago, I made a detour to Nashville β the birthplace of country music and where Taylor Swift launched her career πΈβ¨. A friend highly recommended the gorgeous Gaylord Opryland Resort, and it did NOT disappoint! π The moment I stepped in, I was surrounded by lush greenery β it felt like walking into the world of Avatar! πΏπ Perfect for a slow, chill vibe with good food and great atmosphere. π¨οΈ Honestly, I didnβt expect much from the Midwest in winter β Nashville can feel pretty bare. But inside this greenhouse paradise? Pure magic β¨. The warmth and life here completely blew me away! π« Gaylord Opryland Resort Highlights: π Itβs massive β hotels, restaurants, bars, shopping, pools, gym, spa, entertainment β you never have to leave! βοΈ The entire space is under a glass dome β cozy even in winter. π Christmas decor was still up β full of fairy lights, trees, and reindeer β so dreamy π¦β¨. πΆ You can take a boat tour around the indoor river β more about the vibe than the ride π. βοΈ Winter Fest offers ice slides, skating, carriage rides, and more! βοΈ In summer, hit the SoundWave water park β that giant waterslide looks insane ππ. π Rooms are lovely with balconies facing the central garden β stunning day and night πΊπ. Lively with voices by day, music at night, and the sound of waterfalls 24/7 β I loved it! π΅ Grand Ole Opry: Nashvilleβs most famous country music hall is right next door β just a short walk πΆ. We got tickets in advance. The singers were so passionate, and the whole vibe was electric β even if youβre new to country! π€ π΄ Dining Overview: π Cascades American Cafe: πΈ Breakfast buffet was solid β especially the Southern fried chicken ππ! πΈ Afternoon tea was just okay β limited options and overpriced. π° ~$60 π Old Hickory Steakhouse: πΈ Chain steakhouse with gorgeous views of the music fountain β²οΈ. πΈ Food was average β standard U.S. steakhouse fare.
