National Museum of Ethnology, Osaka - Absolutely Mind-Blowing 🌟
I was fortunate enough to attend the ICTMD academic conference, and on the second day, I had some free time to visit the museum's exhibition (located within the Expo '70 Memorial Park). 🌇🌿 The exhibits are incredibly rich in ethnic culture, covering aspects such as clothing, tools, music, and languages. 🌸🍃The music section, which particularly caught my interest, features a wide range of musical instruments from around the world, including Japanese taiko drums, gamelan, guitars, reed instruments, and traditional Okinawan music. There are QR codes available for Chinese translations, and video explanations (in Japanese) are also provided, with some music accompanied by live recordings. 🌇🌿 Photography is allowed inside the museum, but video recording is not permitted. 📸 One aspect that other museums could learn from is the dynamic presentation and preservation of music, with regular ethnic music concerts being held. 🌸🍃 During my visit, I stood for a long time, deeply feeling and understanding the musical cultures of various ethnic groups. 🎶 #OsakaMuseum #JapanTravel #WorldMusic 🌇🌿
