🦖 National Museum of Natural History, France

The National Museum of Natural History in France is my favorite museum to visit when I'm in Paris. Having had a deep interest in biology since childhood, the collections in the museum are very appealing to me. So much so that when I host friends visiting Paris, I always take them on a tour here. 🦕 Gallery of Paleontology The National Museum is composed of numerous exhibition buildings. The most closely related to humans is, of course, the Gallery of Paleontology, which, together with the Gallery of Comparative Anatomy, occupies a massive 18th-century stone and red brick building to the left of the entrance to the Botanical Garden. The Gallery of Comparative Anatomy is on the first floor, displaying thousands of impressive vertebrate skeletons. The Gallery of Paleontology is on the second floor, where visitors can trace the evolution of life on Earth over the past 600 million years. The gallery features a full circular walkway around the hall, which is where the fossils of invertebrate animals are exhibited. 🏛️ However, the biggest highlight of the Paris Gallery of Paleontology is its rich collection of vertebrate fossils. In today's Gallery of Paleontology, there are, of course, the eye-catching dinosaurs, including the massive Diplodocus, the peculiar Triceratops, and the upright Edmontosaurus. The fossils of giant mammals from South America are particularly striking, with sloths taller than elephants and armadillos with huge shell-like armor... #MuseumHopping #TravelTheWorld #CulturalLandmarks #Visiting #Diary #Travelogue #DayTrip #ParisLife #MySnapshots
