🌳 Nature Park - A Family-Friendly Hiking Experience 🌳

Today, I'd like to introduce the 2nd nature park we explored - Lower Pierce Reservoir, which features two carefully laid out family-friendly hiking trails. This boardwalk trail through the Central Catchment Nature Reserve takes you through one of Singapore's last remaining mature secondary forests and along the edge of the reservoir. You can see rubber trees and oil palms within the reserve because this land used to be a rubber plantation. How to Easily Get There? 🚗 By Car: Drive along Upper Thomson Road and make a left turn into Old Upper Thomson Road before the traffic light at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1. Drive along the road until you see the trail entrance. There are parking spaces near the Casuarina Entrance. 🚌 By Public Transport: Take bus numbers 163, 167, 169, 855, or 980 and get off at the bus stop near Sembawang Hill Food Center. Walk along Old Upper Thomson Road for about five minutes to reach the trail entrance (Casuarina Entrance). 🌳 Recommended Route 🌳 🌱 Route: 1⃣️ Casuarina Entrance ➡️ Hevea Trail ➡️ Cyathea Trail ➡️ Bamboo Trail ➡️ Oncospermun Trail ➡️ Jacaranda Entrance The entire route takes about 1 hour, and the trail is shaded by the forest, making it cool and comfortable. There are several information boards along the way, introducing the flora and fauna of this forest, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of the natural ecology here. #OutdoorsIsMySanctuary #Outdoors #Hiking #SingaporeFamilyOuting
