🌿 Never thought Nepal had such a "green town"
After trekking the ACT route, I spent a whole day bouncing along in a dusty bus and arrived in Pokhara well past 10 PM 🌙. I rushed into my hotel for a hot shower, feeling like I’d scrubbed five pounds of grime off my skin 💦, then hurried out for dinner—at that point, my entire impression of Pokhara boiled down to: "Finally, decent Chinese food in Nepal!" The next day, I was woken by birds chirping outside the window 🐦. Funny how being woken by birds is so much easier to take than being woken by people or car horns. I rolled around for a bit before getting up—it was only 8 AM ⏰. The second I stepped out of the hotel, excitement hit. How could this lush green town exist in Nepal? It felt like a slice of the West Lake, with Phewa Lake glistening like an embedded sapphire 💎. I pulled out my phone to record a video, eager to share the joy with friends: "Pokhara is so magical!" Walking along the lake, I noticed the streets fanning out in a (fan shape), numbered neatly from Street No. 1 to Street No. 22—simple enough to make me ,like I’d crack the city’s code in no time 😉. Passing a souvenir shop, I was drawn to a shopkeeper with an orange beard. We chatted, and I learned he’d visited Tibet three times: "Your tea is delicious." Before leaving, I found myself buying two tapestries—blue for a friend, green for myself. The green one, I thought, matched Pokhara perfectly 🌿. Further along, closer to the lake, brunch spots lined the road. I stopped at Juicey Cafe to book an evening yoga class 🧘♀️, then ducked into Lumuma Cafe, finding an outdoor seat to soak up the sun ☀️. Most people around me were fellow trekkers fresh off the ABC or ACT trails. Instead of talking about altitudes or mileage, we (chatted) about "which mango smoothie is the sweetest" 🥭. It turns out Pokhara is a "charging station" for trekkers—here, the air is thick with oxygen, life moves slowly, and lake-scented winds sweep away the fatigue of the trail 😌. Compared to Kathmandu’s bustle and heavy cultural vibe, Pokhara is like a mint-infused lemonade—refreshing enough to make you never want to leave 🍋. #PokharaSlowLife #NepalLittleJoys #MemoriesOfPhewaLake #GentlenessAfterTrekking
