New Orleans｜Jazz All Night 🎶

No wonder New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz — wherever you go, there's always a soundtrack playing 🎵. The musical vibe here is incredible — from jazz clubs to airport bars, live bands are everywhere, making it a true paradise for music lovers 🎷❤️. 🎤 Mahogany Jazz Hall The first jazz spot I checked off ✅ — super casual and lively! It gets crowded, but people come and go, so walking in is easy 🚶‍♀️✨. Grab a drink, find a seat, and enjoy tunes all night 🥂🎶. Most songs are upbeat, and despite the small space, the atmosphere and sound are amazing — highly recommend! 🥁 Fritzel's European Jazz Pub Went in the afternoon when it was quiet — felt like having the place to myself 😌. Loved the decor and vibe 🏮. Caught two bands — one chill, the other energetic — both were fantastic! Even discovered a blues track I could loop all day 🔂🎵. Definitely a highlight of the trip! 🎫 Preservation Hall Saw mixed reviews online but thought, "When in NOLA..." — went anyway, but honestly wouldn’t recommend. Unlike other jazz spots, this one feels more formal, like a staged show 🎭. We booked the 6:15 PM slot — not too crowded, walk-ins were fine. Front row is a must — the back rows can’t see much! Show runs ~45 minutes, no phone use (except when they ask for tips 💸). One musician also played at Mahogany Jazz Hall — both venues performed "I'm Walkin'" 🎶. While Preservation Hall had a richer sound with a trombone, the singer’s voice was soft, and the seated, quiet crowd made it hard to feel the swing 😕. Mahogany’s version totally won in energy and vibe! The only standout was a non-jazzy piano solo that caught me off guard — otherwise, most songs felt a bit plain.
