New York, One White Street, the secret of No. 1 White Street ...
🤫 · New York, Michelin-starred, New American cuisine; I was intrigued by this standalone restaurant in Tribeca when planning my visit, especially since it was formerly the Utopian Embassy founded by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. How intriguing! 🤔 · The Townhouse has three floors, and as a restaurant, the space is quite cozy. I was seated at the bar on the third floor, with a front-row view of the satellite kitchen mainly handling salads and desserts. After watching them make salads for over an hour, I have to admit, the magic wore off a bit 😂. I had already decided on my dishes before arriving, but when I saw the Tasting menu for the day, I found that my choices were included (not on the version on the website), so I didn’t hesitate to go for it. · The standout dish in the tasting menu was the pumpkin ravioli. It seems that wherever I’ve had this dish, it invariably becomes the highlight of the meal. The sweet, creamy flavors are rich and succulent, quite addictive. The other dishes were less surprising, but still decent. One gripe, though, is that the bread was served as the last main course (it felt like it was forgotten…), come on, with those delicious sauces in the previous courses, wouldn’t it be nice to have some bread to soak them up?! 🕹️ Reservation: Resy 🤖 Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 ⬇️ Menu List 🥩 American Wagyu Beef 🎃 Pumpkin Ravioli 👍🏻 🐟 Seared Monkfish 🥛 Yogurt Biscuit 👍🏻 🧅 Onion Tartare 🥗 Kale Salad 🍞 Bread 🤏🏻 Macarons #NewYorkFood #NewYorkRestaurantHunting #NewYorkEatingAndPlaying #HiddenGemRestaurant #100RestaurantChallenge #MichelinRestaurantHunting #GlobalEatingSquad #ThisRestaurantHasVibes
